What Makes Capitol Pool Service's Renovations Better?
Attention to Detail
When renovating a pool, CPS uses a laser level to ensure that the tile, coping and water line will be correctly aligned around the entire pool.
Waterproof material is packed around every pool fitting and light prior to every re-plastering.
Our Work is Artisan Quality
We can custom fabricate straight or curved flagstone coping, including a flamed edge, on your job site. The finished coping job is shown above right.
We create the design and cut the tiles so everyone is proud of the results. The finished spa tile with a diamond design is shown above.
Over 35 Years Experience
Changing the pool footprint and creating steps where there were none is not a problem for us.
In addition to replacing tile, coping and plaster, we also remove decks, and when necessary, find and replace leaking pipes.
CPS can install an automatic fill device, so you never have to worry about turning your hose off after the pool is topped off.
Our experienced staff can diagnose and repair virtually any pool related problem.
Featured Project
Our objective was to transform the 40 year old existing structure into a more functional, attractive and enjoyable swimming pool. In addition to replacing the coping stones, tile and plaster, we also had to eliminate the original steps/entry into the pool, create new semi-circular steps, move a skimmer, add a bench in the deep end and install an entirely new automatic cover apparatus.
A new wall is created so the footprint will be rectangular and an automatic cover can be added.
Following the pouring of the new bench, the pool was plastered with a colored additive and the automatic cover was installed, to complete the job.
Above left shows the pool as it was just after demolition began. Above right shows the completed project with the automatic cover closed.
Although we cannot take credit for choosing the paint for the beautiful colored wall, we can note with pride the work we did to enhance both the appearance and the quality of this pool and the surrounding deck area which comprise the entire backyard of this Georgetown home, as the following photographs illustrate.
We removed the deteriorating pool tiles and mirrors, installing a stone wall, new tile and a waterfall, creating a more natural environment accented by the pleasant sound of splashing water.
The entire upper deck was re-tiled and painted. A changing room/storage shed was also constructed in the far corner. Custom made steps and coping were installed to complement the stone wall and upper deck.

The renovation of this Bethesda pool required two new skimmers, tile, coping, plaster and the installation of the compliant VGBA main drain grates.
We used contrasting tile to highlight the spa perimeter and to put a finishing touch on a pleasing renovation.

WINTER POOL COVER INSTALLATION

Solid

Safety Mesh
Solid winter pool covers collect leaves, precipitation and, if untended, insects. They also present a serious danger to little people and pets, should they venture from the deck to the cover. Protect your pool, your young children and your pets, as well as your investment, with a safety mesh cover. See our “Special Offers” page for a money saving coupon.
